St. Louis' March for Our Lives: What you need to know

St. Louis joined more than a million people across the nation to march in an effort to end gun violence in schools.

ST. LOUIS, Mo.– Thousands in St. Louis marched with more than a million people across the nation to end school gun violence on Saturday morning.

The event followed days after a national school walkout on March 14, the month anniversary of the Florida school shooting that left 17 dead.

The St. Louis march will start at Aloe Plaza, across from Union Station and circle back to the Plaza for speeches.

Here's a rundown of the day:

10 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. A moment of silence by Rev. Darryl Gray, a speech by Morgan Lowe

10:20 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. March from the Aloe Plaza, east on Market, north on 7th, west on Pine and back to the Plaza

11:45 a.m. - 1 p.m. Poetry by Katie Powers, speeches from Lexi Lampkin, Liesl Fressola, Yaqkeha Witherspoon, Marshata Cardine, Damen Alexander, Lauren Malloy, Haley Zink and Representative Bruce Franks, Jr.
