Mizzou Baseball's shenanigans make ESPN

"The postgame interview antics from @MizzouBaseball are top-notch," ESPN tweeted with a laughing emoji.

COLUMBIA, Mo. — The Tigers had a little fun over the weekend after beating South Carolina 5-2 on Friday and 11-0 on Saturday at Taylor Stadium in Columbia.

While Tigers pitchers Jacob Cantleberry and TJ Sikkema were being interviewed about their dominating performances, their teammates put on a show behind them.

They did a recreation of a 'Game of Thrones' scene, knighting one of the players.

But they didn't stop there.

Next, they put on a boxing match, complete with gloves and a victory lap... all while Cantleberry and Sikkema were trying to keep a straight face.

The hilarity caught the attention of ESPN, which led to thousands of retweets and likes on Twitter.

"The postgame interview antics from @MizzouBaseball are top-notch," ESPN tweeted with a laughing emoji.

Sikkema was being interviewed because he had one of his best performances of the season.

He recorded 10 strikeouts while allowing no hits and no runs through 7.0 innings pitched.

The Tigers are now 30-15-1 after sweeping South Carolina over the weekend.

Mizzou will play Southeast Missouri State University next on Wednesday, May 1 in Columbia.

And if the Tigers put on another show like they did Saturday night against the Gamecocks, fans might be expecting another postgame “performance.”
