Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers aim to clean up homes affected by flooding

Once the Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief group can, they will go to houses who need that same assistance, as Foley Baptist Church did.

FOLEY, Mo. — Foley Baptist Church may look a bit different now.

Instead of what it normally looks like, it's been stripped to its bare bones, all because of flooding.

They've stripped the carpet because it was soaked and took down the drywall.

The hands behind all this hard work are a group of volunteers from Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief. A group of Baptist Churches in Missouri coming together.

On Thursday, three siblings who were volunteering together.

"It's cool to know we're making a difference, making an impact," Grace Easterday said.

Outside, another volunteer, Mario, pressure washed the front.

Their hard work that started on Monday is coming to an end, but it is just the beginning for their group.

Once the disaster relief group can, they will go to houses who need that same assistance, as this church did.

"We go in rip up carpet cut drywall," Coordinator Thomas Snethen said. "On that side of the river, it was muddy, so we'll pressure wash the walls. God sent us to take care of you,"

We're told they will go anywhere in the area to help.

If you need assistance, you do have to contact them. You can find out how to get in touch with them at the Missouri Baptists website.
