AG Hawley announces investigation into MO furniture company

The Attorney General's office is investigating Rough Country Rustic Furniture after nearly 600 complaints.

WRIGHT COUNTY, Mo. – Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley announced an investigation into a Missouri furniture store after nearly 600 complaints from customers.

The Attorney General is investigating Rough Country Rustic Furniture, a Wright County, Missouri, business, for "possible misrepresentations." Rough Country Rustic Furniture that makes coffee tables, bed sets, even lamps that let you store your firearm within easy reach.

5 On Your Side's I-Team investigated the business in January after getting complaints from all over the country. At that time, a representative for the St. Louis Better Business Bureau said they were receiving 100 complaints per month about the company.

A press release from Hawley's office said the investigation began in December of 2017 and met with representatives of the company in February. The company agreed to provide the AG's office with information on the status of the complaints.

The company currently has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau.
