CLAYTON, Mo. — A popular breakfast spot in Clayton has closed its doors.

First Watch along Forsyth closed on Jan. 19 after its building was sold.

The restaurant served the Clayton area for about 17 years. Plans to develop new office buildings in the area were approved, which led to its building being bought.

Statement from First Watch,

“We’re so grateful for years of service to this community and the relationships we’ve built here. We’ve recently opened a nearby restaurant at Brentwood Square, where we hope to serve our loyal Clayton customers too, for years to come! We don’t have immediate plans to open another restaurant in Clayton, though our development team is also always looking for sites that would be a great fit for First Watch.”

Previous story on Clayton development:

First Watch has several other St. Louis area locations. It recently opened one in Brentwood at 1507 S. Brentwood Boulevard.
