2021 strawberry season kicks off at Eckert's Farm

The strawberry festival will have live music, outdoor festival foods, kids pony rides, a children’s play area and petting zoo, and specialty strawberries desserts

BELLEVILLE, Ill. — Eckert’s Farm has officially kicked off its strawberry season, and that means a chance to pick a batch or two of your own!

You can make reservations for your friends and family, with tickets only $5 per person. Children under 2 years of age can get in free.

“Pick-Your-Own Season is the most exciting time at our farm as we welcome guests back out to the farm to get fresh air and fresh produce,” says Marketing Director, Amanda Morgan. “We’re incredibly proud of our farmers who worked day and night to save the strawberries from freezing temperatures earlier this spring. Their commitment to bring an exceptional pick-your-own season to our customers allows us to welcome guests back safely.”

Monday: FREE (free admission to the fields)

Tuesday: SAVE60 ($3 off your ticket)

Wednesday: SAVE60 ($3 off your ticket)

Thursday: SAVE60 ($3 off your ticket)

Friday: SAVE40 ($2 off your ticket)

If you’re looking for a weekend event, Eckert’s Strawberry Festival returns Saturday, May 8, and Sunday, May 9. It will also run every Saturday and Sunday in May through the weekend of May 29.

The festival will have live music, outdoor festival foods, kids pony rides, a children’s play area and petting zoo, and specialty strawberries desserts available for purchase at Eckert’s Country Store and Eckert’s Custard Shop.

Eckert’s has also partnered with chefs around St. Louis to feature its strawberries in a special dish, dessert, or cocktail in their restaurants. Participating chefs include Mary Bojecki of Yolklore, Chris Kelling of Elmwood, Michael Gallina of Vicia and Winslow’s Table, Loryn Nalic of Balkan Treat Box, and Tim Wiggins of Yellowbelly. Dishes prepared with Eckert’s strawberries will be available at participating restaurants from May 17 through 23.
