Zuppa Toscana Soup
1 lb Red Barn Farm Meats Mild Italian Sausage
1/2 lb yellow potatoes (cubed)
1/2 sweet yellow onion (chopped)
3 gloves minced garlic
1 cup frozen kale
2 cups chicken broth
Crushed red pepper flakes to taste
1/2 cup heavy cream
Chopped and cooked Red Barn Farm Meats bacon (about 5-10 strips)
salt/ pepper
Brown sausage, place in slow cooker. Add diced potatoes, onion, garlic and crushed pepper flakes and kale. Pour in chicken broth.
Cook on low 6-8 hours
When ready to eat, stir in cream, cooked bacon and salt/ pepper to taste.
