PACIFIC, Mo. — A crash Thursday night on Interstate 44 near Pacific, Missouri, left a woman dead.
According to a crash report for the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a semitruck driver was driving in the right lane and partially on the righthand shoulder of westbound I-44 at a slow speed. At around 6:45 p.m., a car crashed into the back of its trailer.
The driver of the car, 55-year-old Sharon Rodgers of Washington, Missouri, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt, according to MSHP.
