ST. LOUIS – Dozens of friends and co-workers of the Imo’s pizza delivery driver killed on the job held a vigil for him Thursday night.

They walked through Tower Grove South to the store where Dave Matthews worked and to the intersection, Potomac and Gustine, where he was shot while delivering pizza July 4.

His family and friends hoped he would make it, but he died from his injuries last weekend.

His friends are still in shock because they said Matthews had such a good soul, they thought he was untouchable.

“David's so nice, you just don't understand. I know this, we all know this. If someone was like, ‘Hey, give me your money,’ David would be like, ‘All right.’ I can't comprehend more than that. I just don’t understand it,” Delana Depauli said.

The person who killed Matthews is still out there, and his friends want that person to turn themselves in. If you have any information, call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS.

There is a $15,000 reward in this case, and they are hoping that money will make someone who knows something speak up.
