All-clear given at McKinley Classical Leadership Academy after lockdown

ST. LOUIS — A middle school and high school in St. Louis were placed on a temporary lockdown after a threat Wednesday morning.

As of 11:30 a.m., the lockdown has been lifted, according to a spokesperson.

According to a spokesperson from Saint Louis Public Schools, the security team at McKinley Classical Leadership Academy became aware of a threat to bring an explosive device to the school. The middle school and high school are in the same building.

The schools are located at 2156 Russell Boulevard.
