ST. LOUIS — Hot weather will continue across the Bi-state area through the end of the week with humidity levels climbing into the weekend.  Excessive heat is back this weekend as well with high temperatures reaching into the triple digits. The afternoon heat index values will be near 105-110 Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The heat breaks to some degree late Sunday into Monday as a slightly cooler air mass moves in with a cold front and gives us a chance for rain and thunderstorms. Thunderstorm chances will remain in place through mid-week next week.
