1 shot early Tuesday in south St. Louis

The victim was conscious and breathing when taken to an area hospital, but the Homicide Division was requested.

ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Division was requested after a shooting early Tuesday in the city's Marine Villa neighborhood.

Police said the shooting happened just after 1 a.m. Tuesday in the 3600 block of Marine Avenue. Officers found a victim shot in the arm. He was conscious and breathing when he was taken to an area hospital.

No other information was available Tuesday morning.
