A new bakery opened recently on Main Street in St. Charles

Sweetie Pie’s Bakery on Main is owned by 21-year-old Lydia Allen.

ST CHARLES, Mo. — Lydia Allen, 21, is the owner of a new bakery, and she’s no novice in the kitchen. She has been baking for years.

Sweetie Pie’s Bakery on Main opened a few months ago in St. Charles and is already making a name for itself thanks to an old family recipe for cinnamon rolls.

The name comes from Allen’s grandparents. They used to call each other, “Sweetie Pie,” so she named the bakery in their honor, and she uses some of their recipes, as well. Allen and her mother created many of the other recipes, along with various others passed along within the family.

Sweetie Pie’s Bakery on Main is located at 519 South Main Street in St. Charles, Missouri. It’s open Tuesday – Sunday and offers daily specials. For more information, visit sweetiepiesbakeryonmain.com.
