St. Louis forecast: Isolated severe threat today

Heavy rain will cause localized flooding issues

ST. LOUIS — We have stayed cloudy through most of the day, and that has really mitigated our severe weather threat. While severe storms aren't fully out of the question, most of what we will get later on tonight will be just a few stronger, loud thunderstorms with brief, heavy rainfall.

A few showers may hang around on the Metro East side by Monday morning and early afternoon, but we will try and dry things out for a couple of days after that.

Above average temperatures will continue next week as welcome in May. Hit and miss chances for rain remain around for the next week or so as we continue to build upon our surplus of rainfall this season.
